VanizChat Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

VanizChat is provided by Vaniz Group IT Services Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the VanizChat app and service, why, and the choices you have.

Messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted

Your messages, photos, videos, voice notes, documents, shared locations and calls are end-to-end encrypted. Only you and the people you talk to can read or hear them. Our servers relay encrypted messages and keep them only until they are delivered to your devices (or for a limited time if a device is offline).

What we collect

How we use it

To create and secure your account, deliver messages and calls, send notifications, show you which contacts use VanizChat, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. VanizChat has no ads.

Who we share it with

We use service providers that process data on our behalf: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service (to deliver notifications) and our hosting provider. We may disclose information if required by law.

Backups

If you turn on chat backup, your backup is stored in your own Google Drive account, protected by the password you choose.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by following the steps at chat.vanizgroup.com/delete-account. Deleting your account removes your profile, sign-in methods, group memberships and undelivered messages from our servers.

Children

VanizChat is not intended for children under 16.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data (Settings → Account → Request account info), correct it, or delete it. Contact admin@vanizgroup.com.
